A/N: In honor of my recent birthday, I have a limited time promo for readings with me! Details at the end of this post .

After days at an astrology conference (NORWAC), it feels strange talking about Gemini. How do I discuss the rush of new ideas, new people? I’ve been inundated with incredible new ideas and people that I’m still absorbing and processing.
It’s on brand for today’s new moon. This lunation is a contradiction of beginnings and endings. It is the beginning of a new 6 month cycle and the last lunation with Jupiter in Gemini. More importantly? It’s the last Gemini new moon before Uranus enters this sign for 6-7 years. This feels perfect for a sign that embodies the end of spring and the beginning of summer, that is both human and divine.
The past year we’ve struggled with Gemini contradictions. Jupiter has been here, highlighting failures in justice, the gaping holes in misinformation, and the struggle to find meaning in a noisy world. Even as a Gemini heavy person, it’s been a lot. I’ve found myself increasingly needing to unplug and forget my phone. That overstimulation may get even more problematic. If previous Uranus in Gemini periods can show us anything, it’s that change, will only get faster, not slower.
With all this in mind, I’m thinking a lot about grounding and discipline in change. The image that comes to mind is how I used to play in the ocean as a kid. We would jump with the waves, letting our bodies experience the floating as the water rose up and down. If the wave was coming too fast, we learned how to duck under and let the water crash over our heads. What practices, habits, or rituals help you ground through change? What is your way of riding the waves?
This feels especially important due to the ruler of this new moon, Mercury. It’s in a tight sextile to Saturn in Aries. There’s a need for unconventional discipline if we want to ground and endure. Saturn is an outsider in Aries. Aries is known more for experimentation, and risk taking than slow and steady wins the race.
What new ways are you willing to work on grounding? What may feel risky but you’re ready to try? Our traditional M.O. for discipline will need an update. It may be a conversation, or a new idea that inspires us to our next experiment, our next best idea.
May you be open to inspiration whatever wind it comes on.
P.S. In honor of my birthday, I’m doing a limited time discount on readings. Use BIRTHDAY15 for 15% off any reading with me. Code expires 6/1.
